The KANS Scientific Competition is an international scientific competition aimed at providing science-based solutions to the challenges facing human societies. These solutions are presented by young scientists, students, and professors (under the age of 45) from all over the Islamic world in 6 different scientific fields, in the form of works such as books, articles, products, and more. In the third edition of the KANS Scientific Competition, a new section was added for the participation of people under the age of 30, called the Future Makers section.

The closing ceremony of the third edition of the KANS Scientific Competition was held on Friday, May 13, 2022, coinciding with the last day of the INOTEX event at the Pardis Technology Park. The winners of this edition were awarded the Mustafa (PBUH) Prize from the Mustafa (PBUH) Science and Technology Foundation and cash prizes.

The third edition of the KANS Scientific Competition was held in 6 different scientific fields: Food and Agriculture Industries, Health and Medical Equipment, Water, Energy and Environment, Electricity, Electronics and Robotics, Information and Communication Technology and Artificial Intelligence, and Mining and Mineral Industries. The received works were evaluated in each field.

In the field of Electronics and Robotics, Dr. Azam Karimi, Associate Professor of the Bahonar University of Kerman and CEO of Vira Kavir Company, was selected as the winner for presenting the Automatic Fault Detection in Power Transmission Lines (AFTL) product.

Thus, the file of the third edition of the KANS Scientific Competition was closed with the appreciation of the winners in each field. The winners of the Mustafa (PBUH) Prize in this edition of the KANS competition were from 4 countries: Malaysia, Qatar, Azerbaijan, and Iran.

In this ceremony, Saeed Sohrabpour, the head of the third edition of the KANS Scientific Competition, called the Mustafa (PBUH) Prize the Nobel Prize of Islamic countries and announced in the introduction of the Mustafa (PBUH) Prize events: The KANS Scientific Competition, the STEP program, and the Future Stars are the side programs of the Mustafa (PBUH) Prize.
